ROLE SUMMARY

The Job holder will handle software installation, configuration, design, data migration, monitoring system performance, system security, backups, troubleshooting, and data recovery.

 Duties and Responsibilities

(i)    Participating in monitoring network and core systems performance;

(ii)   Maintaining an incidences directory and responding to user queries or complaints, taking corrective action, and escalating to relevant IT staff;

(iii) Conducting periodic preventive maintenance of computers, printers, VoIP phones and computer equipment;

(iv) Escalating issues related to divisional business administrators, System Administrators, and Infrastructure to the relevant offices and tracking the reported issues/jobs;

(v)  Providing architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems

(vi) Analysts, Systems Engineers, and Systems Architects;

(vii)Developing and managing an infrastructure and capacity plan; and, 

(viii) Participating in documenting and communicating a technology standards policy;

b) Requirements for Appointment

(i)    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized institution; and

(ii)   Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
