Job Purpose

•        Weigh, label and price a variety of cuts of Fish for on-demand selections by customers in an efficient manner that keeps customers satisfied

Key Accountabilities

•        Product preparation and serve customers

•        To cut and display variety of Fish & as instructed by the supervisor department manager.

•        Performs morning availability inventories as instructed.

•        Provides the customer with excellent customer service.

•        Ensure accuracy when labeling.

•        Rotates product when displaying or shorting merchandise in the walk-in-storage cooler.

•        Dates codes (FIFO) all in-coming product to be stored in walk-in-storage cooler.

•        Trims product to company standards.

•        Implement the hygiene standards at the level of product handling and implementation

•        Help to control waste and packaging

•        Works to schedule as approved by the fresh supervisor.

•        Alerts supervisor of any problems regarding the department and business.

•        Helps in maintaining good department operating equipment such as wrapping machines, saws,           mincers, knives and etc.

•        Able to use all the equipment and tools in the fish dept

•        Knows how to clean all equipment and tools in the fish dept.

•        Able to identify different types of meat with their PLU numbers

•        Know how to cut and prepare fish frozen or fresh

•        Reduces waste and keeps records

•        Follows promotions and able to dress displays effectively

•        Monitors display levels and sort out the poor quality

•        Knows the proper procedure for storing

•        Applies safe working practices

Experience, Skills & Competencies

•        Profund understanding of fish assortment

•        1-2 years in similar position is required

•        Good Customer Service Skill

•        Good communication skills

•        Active listening
