Job Description

Our Client, a leading Pension fund institution operating in the East African Region, seeks to recruit a highly qualified, experienced, and results-oriented professional to fill the position of General Manager – Corporate Services. The successful candidate will be part of the senior leadership team responsible for driving organizational excellence and supporting the achievement of the institution's strategic objectives over the next five years and beyond.


ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager – Corporate Services will provide strategic leadership and oversight of Human Resource & Administration, Information Communication & Technology (ICT), and Corporate Communication functions. The position is responsible for ensuring efficient service delivery, organizational effectiveness, workforce optimization, ICT security, corporate branding, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and implementation of departmental strategies in alignment with the organization's mandate.

The successful candidate shall be engaged on a Five (5) Year Contract, renewable once subject to satisfactory performance.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

Applicants must possess:

i. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

ii. Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

iii. At least Twelve (12) years relevant work experience, five (5) years of which must be at senior management level.

iv. Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.

v. Relevant professional qualification and membership to a recognized professional body.

vi. A valid Practicing Certificate and License in Human Resource Management.

vii. Proficiency in Computer Applications.

viii. Fulfilment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

ix. Demonstrated high standards of professional competence, leadership, integrity, and managerial ability.

vi. Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and a licensed Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

vii. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (issued within the last six months).

viii. Current clearance/application for clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
